Jack daniels honey smokhouse BBQ sauce ($2.49)
Swwet Baby Ray's (1.99)
Kraft honey bbq ($0.99 on sale)
Walmart brand honey bbq ($0.79)

I just dont taste much of a diff between any of them after meat/ribs have been cooked on a grill.

You must have no taste buds, kc masterpiece tastes nothing like kraft, and the others taste nothing like any other.

try some vinegar based or mustard based bbq sauces...all yours are typical KC style.

If the first ingredient of all your sauces is High Fructose Corn Syrup, of course it's all going to taste the same ;)

I can see someone making the claim that it's not worth the price, or that they don't taste better, but to say they taste the same?

I'm not an expert or anything, but we had a bottle of KC masterpiece hickory flavored last time I smoked some ribs, so I kicked it up a bit with some added paprika and an assload off cayenne pepper, and it was damn near perfect.

I get store brand sauces all the time cus they are cheap but I splurged once for the Jack Daniels stuff and it tastes no where near the same.

False. All BBQ sauces are NOT created equal. I, however, tend to go with the cheaper stuff since I rarely use it.

I am constantly amazed that almost every thread you make revolves around money in one way or another.

I'm also a Sweet Baby Ray's fan, but I dress mine up a little with some bourbon and cayenne. But if anyone thinks SBR's is even close to Kraft that person needs to quit BBQ and just eat cardboard instead because he wouldn't be able to distinguish it from anything else anyway.

BTW, Sweet Baby Ray's is $1 on sale and they often have coupons for $1 off two, so you can pick it up for .50 cents a bottle.

The one bbq sauce of the few I've tried that tastes really different is Arthur Bryants. Problem is it's only available by mail order unless you're lucky enough to have family living in Kansas City.

The sauce at the Rosedale Barbeque is better...
