all banks full = slower ram speed?

i have all 3 mem banks in my A7n8x full and it's running at 200mhz(400mzh) fsb. I think i read somewhere that if all three banks are full the mobo runs the memory at 133mzh (266mhz). is this true?

The A7N8X can do all three at full speed, it's telling you the truth. Maybe you heard that about the A7V8X, which uses a different chipset, or the Athlon 64's which currently can do two modules at DDR400 but drop to DDR200 when given a third module.

I've got the P4C800 (I think, it's the i875-based one) with 2GB (4 x 512MB) in a machine at work. During POST, I see a message that states the RAM speed is 320MHz. I don;t think I get that message with 3 DIMMs.
