I would like to back up the drivers and programs (MMC, GEMSTAR) off my original CD but I can't figure out which directories to copy. I try to keep all my drivers on a seperate partition on my HD for easy OS reinstalls. Could someone please help I don't want to copy 300 Meg of crap when I know it should be but around 30. Oh Yea I use Win2k but I might also back up the 98 ones.

Before someone tells me I know I can download newer drivers and programs. I have these but my original drivers came with a VFW driver and the new ones don't.

do you not have a burner. just burn yourself a copy.

MMC 6.x provided VFW support with the Rage cards.

Yes I have a burner but what I like to do is keep my, OS Cab files, All drivers (original and newest) and any frequently used shareware on a seperate partition of my hard drive. This makes reinstalls of the OS a breeze, no need to shuffle CDs and no need to grab a CD everytime I want to make a change.
