Super highways coast to coast
easy to get anywhere
On the transcontinental overload
just slide behind the wheel
How does it feel...

I am a big-time fan. The early 1970's stuff is by far my favorite - check the version of "Give It Up and Turnit a Loose" on "In the Jungle Groove".

at first I thought this thread was about my one favourite band...Guns n Roses. then I see it's about my other favourite band: anything James Brown. maaaaaan is he good. not only him, but his bands are ALWAYS good. if you only listen to his studio stuff, get out there and get some live recordings. they are amazing.

oddly enough, some of my best cd's from him I got at Big Lots! only paid like 5-6 bucks for them.

Yeah, his 70's live stuff is the best and funkiest. Don't forget his backup band, the JB's. They put out some funky stuff too! Maceo!! Maceo!!

I saw him in concert about a year ago. Tickets were $50+, but it was totally worth it. THe man puts on an incredible show. He's not called the Hardest Working Man in Show Business for nothing.
