ALIVE AGAIN: 47" 1080p Westinghouse LCD $1440 at BestBuy

Most people have cable boxes, PVR's or satellite receivers (or computers) for HD. If you have any one of the above three, chances are you can go without a tuner.

Wow, this is pretty awesome I wonder by this Xmas will they start rolling out 60 inchers for the same price? LCD's are sure getting cheap!

Pretty nice deal, and yes, I agree I have DVR on my Sat and HD DVD so no need for the off the air BS. Besides I highly doubt by 09 they will convert I think they will just move it up till 2015 or something... Besides most people that need a TV like this already own a HD DVD. Who the heck watches crap off the air any more? BORING!!!!

how do i make this $1400? When I click the link I see $1999 and when I check their weekly ad, it's $200 off i think... hmmm...

It's Sunday. The sale is over.

Local store has 2 display models at $1299 out the door. YMMV.

These are being replaced by the new TX series with 4 HDMI inputs, but even at $1440 this is a steal.

They are clearing inventory for the new 47" model (TX-47F430S) that comes out in the next few weeks. This is a great deal on the old model.

So the only difference with the new one is that it has more HDMI inputs? How many of those does the average user need? I want to bite on this deal.

The new one has 4 HDMI ports, ATSC\NTSC\ClearQAM tuner, USB firmware updating and DayBright technology which keeps the panel clearly visible under almost any lighting conditions.

However, this deal for the old model is very good. I wouldn't hesitate if you don't need a tuner or the added HDMI ports.

I mentioned this to my wife, and her reply was, "so what would you do with our current 42" 1080P TV?" DOH!

No interest 18 month financing... thats the way to do it... just make sure you pay it off by the end 🙂

This is a great TV, I bought it in December when it was at $1699 and its been worth every penny, I mainly use it as my computer monitor and for HD/Blu-Ray movies. Dont expect the best though with this TV as this TV doesnt have the best vivid colors and watching TV at a 45 degree or more angle you will notice the far edges will have much less color. Obviously its true on all LCD's that best view is direct front view but I have seen sony/sharp/samsung's that have done a far better job at those angles than this TV. I only want to point those out to those perfectionist out there. This is still the best monitor out there for the price and I would not trade it out for anything else in the same price range.
