Thought I'd let you guys know... even though most of you wouldn't buy a thing from them due to the prices, but what the heck, it's an eye-candy!

New Alienware Site Layout

Enjoy.... even though you're not going to buy squat from them (neither am I).

They generally advertize it as available a month earlier than retailers (and all other OEMs) - often even before its public release. Then they delay shipping a month until they actually get it in stock.

I like the new case... definitely neato.

I know they make good PC's, but I've never known ANYONE that bought one... been to huge LAN parties and never seen one there either... I wonder where the people who buy these things are..

What the hell is the use of that "ambience" noise besides just to be annoying?

I'll bet they're in dorm rooms across the country. I don't know anyone who has one either, but my entire floor had $3,000 Gateways or Dells back in the day (Pentium 100 was blazing back then :D).

Also, they aren't just an online e-tailer anymore, so that's gotta help. Both Best Buy and CompUSA B&M carry Alienware, which must boost their sales tremendously. If someone wants a bit more than the standard OEM box offers, shell out an extra grand for the top of the line Alienware.

Most people here probably think its a tacky lookin case, but some kid in college probably thinks its the best thing since canned beer.

We should make it our duty to hunt down these "alienware customers". Who are they, and where are they?
I remember one guy on this board had one,but that was ages ago and he said the system was flawed, the colour wasn't matching on all the parts, and the customer service was terrible. Maybe he went into hiding out of shame? lol

Has anyone put a system together? I did with the Nforce board, and Alienware are still using 2100 ddr.

Alienware uses a standard Hauppauge tv-tuner card in their Media Center PC?? I didn't know you could use consumer tv-tuners with XP Media Center edition.
