Alienware Predator Case?

Black or White (silverish)?

i'm building a new rig, i have the option to get a black for $150 ($190+shipping) or white for $120 ($180+shipping) Alienware Predator Case to put all my components in.

how reflective and shiny is the black? if it's matte, i think i'll go with white.

i've seen pictures of the black one reflective and matte, so i'm not sure....

Thanks

I don't think I've seen a matte black predator... except for the new ones.

In any case, I would go with black, matte or glossy.

Because it looks so freakin' cool. and cuz i like Alienware but i don't want to buy one of their PC's

have you ever seen one?

Yeah, I've seen Alienware PCs in person. They're ok looking, but a tad bit pricey for a steel and plastic case. That is really a matter of opinion, and I'm not going to knock yours.

My point is more that most DIYer's are somewhat proud of their machines (myself included), and wouldn't like the idea of having their machine mistaken for a pre-built n00b box from Dell.

...of course, it's up to you... That is really the point of DIY. As long as your rig makes you happy. 🙂

and welcome to AT forums!

I guess if you like the way the case looks, more power to you.

It's certainly not worth $150 plus shipping. It's a steel case, that's very plasticky. $150 is full tower all aluminum case territory.

White is the least offensive color with that case styling, plus it's cheaper.

I had an Asus case that was identical to the alienware predator cases sitting in my garage (someone else's old computer they gave to me). Wish I had kept it, I could have sold it to you for cheaper than $120.
