Alienware m17x r4 3610qm overclock help

I know that I need to go to the bios, but how do I overclock the 3610qm? My laptop can handle the heat, for sure, but how do I do it? Any help would be great and I realize that its a laptop and some people think its not worth overclocking. I'm not looking for opinions but the how-to. Thanks

If you go into the BIOS, look in the Advanced section for 'Frequency/Voltage' control. You should find the overclocking settings in there.

For a laptop though, I would not recommend doing this. The entire machine will run hotter, the battery will wear out faster, and the CPU will just start to throttle if it gets too hot anyway (which is not that uncommon).

You said the laptop can handle the heat. Have you run some temperature monitoring software to confirm that?

Are there any slowness issues you are trying to alleviate with the overclock?
