I have an Alienware 17 R5 and I am thinking about getting the GA with a 980ti/Fury X. The card would also be used in my PC.

Anyone has the GA? What kind of impact does it have on the card (4 lanes..)?

Can it be modded (PSU)

What are your general thoughts on it, is it worth it at all?

My A17 has a 980M but since I'll get the GPU for my PC anyway I was thinking it could be nice for LANs and what not. The CPU is the i7-4890HQ.
