I might start another post singing the praises of Temple of Elemental Evil. If you like Dungeons and Dragons, this is a game you HAVE to play! You'll see plenty of posts about how buggy it is (and it still is) and it's nearly unplayable out of the box, but the last few patches corrected all the showstoppers. This game is FUN! A many people, including myself, will argue that is has the BEST combat engine ever created for a CRPG. It's turn based, the graphics are good, and the combat is great! You can craft LOTS of stuff, there's tons of creatures, and it's just lots of fun. And for $6.90, you can't go wrong. I might pick up a few copies to give to my friends that haven't played it.

Be warned, there are still a lot of bugs, but most of them are just irrititants. Ether Trioka or Atari pushed it out unfinished, but what is there is ABSOLUTELY worth playing. I've played all Baldur's Gate and NWN titles, but this game had me creating all kinds of different parties just to see how they'd click. I'd never played a barbarian, bard, or Monk much in PnP or CRPG, but I had fun playing every class. Unfortunately, your level cap is at 10, so you don't get any of the high level spells, but again, the game is just FUN!

If you do pick up the game, make sure you stop by co8.org (Circle of Eight) and check out the fan patches. These guys did a great job picking up where the programmers left off....

That game rocks! Being able to bounce off your opponents, launch toward them unaware through a dark chute or pounce on them from above... 3D Pinball rules! ;)

AvP2 was one of the best games ever. They just need to make AvP3 off the DOOM3 engine... I would stop having a life! Well, moreso. ;)
