Lets bring a sample back!

I guess since it's the first we should name it something that starts with an 'A'...

How about "Andromeda", after our galaxy's closest neighbor?

journalists are, as always, jumping the gun.

They found organic material and weird structures and that's cool, but there might be nothing else to it.

Are they large enought to fry or eat?

We could spur the race to stars by discovering something so damn delicious that we JUST HAVE TO GO OUT TO GET!

like the interstellar white castle

But if life on earth was 'seeded' by comets, they ain't aliens, they are kin.

But there might be other samples from future encounters, so we should just consider this one possible strain.

Hope you didn't strain yourself thinking of that.

Yeah, just a bit.

Organic material doesn't mean a lot. Congratulations, you found a carbon compound.

Nope. I'm not saying it's not aliens, but it's not aliens:

Astronomer making the claims is a nutbar.
Prof Wickramasinghe’s views are regarded as several steps outside the scientific mainstream. He has previously suggested that the SARS virus arrived to Earth from space and that airborne spores that caused rainfall in Kerala to turn a reddish hue had an extraterrestrial origin.
:hmm:

Panspermia, further proof of intelligent design.
...or that Life flourishes naturally in this universe.
Yup. We exist because the conditions are conducive to produce life. If the conditions to produce life were not present, we wouldn't exist to ask questions.
