aliens and religion

Why is when someone says they seen an alien or spoken to an alien they are usally called crazy physcopaths and nobody will listen to them? but when someone says they spoken to god, everybody listens to them and they are a sainthood now.

Actually, anybody nowadays who claims to speak to god is usually labeled as crazy too. Cult followers might believe their leader, but I would say that the followers are as crazy as the leader.

I wonder the same thing sometimes...people would ridicule the heaven's gate followers...or the Raeliens (or wahtever) but never religion...

the difference between a cult and a religion is simply in the numbers.

Scientology is a religion that is based on beliefs that aliens exists. Because there are so many scientologists, we are less likely to find them insane in general.

What do you mean everyone? If someone told me they spoke to god, I'd call them dillusional.
