I suppose there had to be *a* physical format offering worse quality than streamed versions.

Now all I have to do is remember where I got my last pirate VHS tapes from. And where I left my VCR.

That's actually pretty cool. Wonder how that works from a manufacturing point of view, I don't imagine there are any companies still making the physical tapes anymore. So gray beard is going to be excited at dusting off an old abandoned factory and getting it going again and showing the youngins how it used to be done. Or they'll just outsource it to China... lol.

I went over to jam with some folks last week, the kid whose apartment it was is like 27, he's got a CRT and a VCR, he threw on some old Australian travel VHS tape (muted) for background while we were chatting and getting set up. Which is to say: I'm not surprised about this development.

I also ordered a new album release this year on 8 track tape (I do have an 8 track player, but I mostly ordered the tape for shits and giggles and to support the band).
