Alice: Madness Returns

i hope its good the 1st one kicked so much ass

Madness Returns takes place eleven years after the events of its predecessor, the same amount of time between the two games' releases.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice:_Madness_Returns#cite_note-first-7Alice has been released from Rutledge Asylum and into the care of a London psychiatrist, where the traumatic memories of her parents' deaths continue to haunt her. As a result of her relocation, her hallucinations and internal struggle have increased in severity, and she returns to wonderland in hopes of security and comfort. However, it has once again become warped by her insanity, and she must save its residents and herself from the evil that is taking over Wonderland.

How long would it take to play through the first game anyway? Have been meaning to do this for a while, maybe I can get it done over the break.

Sorry, by "a few" I was thinking 7-8, although it's been years since I've played it so don't quote me.

Loved the first one, and will buy this when it comes out.

Can't wait for DNF as well 🙂 Out in May of this year?

O, frabjous release day.

Good news for those who missed out on the original: apparently, Alice: Madness Returns will include a single-use code that will allow a download of the original Alice, available on PC, PS3, and XBox 360.

I played the original on PC, but will probably go for a console version this time. The only question is whether the 360 or PS3 has any advantage in graphics/performance/feature exclusives.

fucking JACKPOT!

I've had the game for about a week but unfortunately I've just not had the time to play it much since we're currently in the process of getting new carpeting put into our house.

I'll tell you what I know though.

I had a fun time with the original 11 years ago, but wasn't sure how relevant a sequel would be today. I've only played the game for about 30 minutes, so I haven't really seen much, but it looks pretty cool. The world seems well constructed, the use of colors are interesting and the voice acting is fine.

I don't know if this is going to be a good game overall, but my first impression of it is pretty good.

Has the original been updated at all, or just a port? I'm just curious... doesn't really affect me either way. I haven't played the original so regardless it'd be new to me, but it'd also give others who have played it a reason to play it again. Especially if it's only 7-8 hours. Should be pretty easy to get through.

ive played it for 2 hours its worth buying, i have it on the PC, id imagin itll look great on a HDTV vs my 26 in monitor. now im curious if i get the HD org as well, would kind of be a shaft to PC users if not

Game IMO is worth buying. Other then visuals i imagine the xbox and PS3 versions are no different then the PC one. There is a larger discussion in the PC forum about the game but IMO if you like platformers then you should pick this up. Very well done sequel to the original. Which i recommend you play as well

id give it a solid 8/10
