I borrowed the DVD from a friend and watched it last night, damn they were a tight band! I own the Unplugged CD but never saw the DVD before. At the time Layne Staley was in the midst of a pretty bad heroin addiction and it was pretty evident when he was on stage. He sat on a chair for all the songs, and had a music stand in front of him with all the lyrics. Jerry Cantrell seemed to be doing more of the vocals than Layne. I never knew it was Jerry doing most of the vocals on "Over Now" for example. It just seemed like Layne had no energy whatsoever that night, although when he did sing, his voice was great, and the band itself was in tip-top shape with no overdubbing apparent. Well, I was kind've moved by the concert so I wanted to see what you guys thought.

RIP Layne
