Alice & G400 Workaround

Matrox Users has put up a fix for those using the G400 video cards and can not get Alice to run right. Here is the scoop:

To get things working open up the file config.cfg that you will find in the Alice demo subdirectory and change the line:

seta r_ext_compiled_vertex_array 0
to
seta r_ext_compiled_vertex_array 1

And one more Alice related tip, you may have to switch back to earlier drivers if you are experiencing texture corruption as it seems the latest Windows 2000 and Windows 9X drivers have problems with this game.
 
are there any workarounds needed for any other cards......... my roomie has a AIW 128 and I have a V3 3500 and we both get a metallic skin on many of the characters....... I'm sure I'm just missing an update, or is it that I need to change a setting......
