good plot. but come on, they missed the "driving the limo in the tunnel and having another limo exit" trick? it's almost as bad as "look, your shoes are untied."

bad realism #2: you're a highly trained Delta commando. you see someone pul a gun on you, and you don't have time to react?

Bad realism #3: you're a highly trained Delta commando. You just saw your partner get shot. there's at least a couple of seconds between the time you see the gun, the shooter shooting your partner and the shooter pointing the weapon at you. again, no reaction. he just sat there :(

yeah, i know suspension of disbelief to get the plot moving. but it seems as the show progresses, it seems more things are far fetched.

ie1: A few episodes ago, Marshall gives Sydney a digital camera and ask her to take pics of the place she's traveling to. he's superimposes himself into the images and sends it to mom to show that he is traveling on business. come on, a genius like Marshall can't create a pic all by himself? heck, how about downloading a pic off the internet?

ie2: Last week, How amatuerish is it to explain that the listening device can't be counteracted by "bug killers" but a normal cell phone can pick it up??? Marshall builds better stuff than that.

And now this week.

Now the show is still GREAT! but i hope it doesnt go the way of Star Trek, where they explain everything via Tech Talk and common sense logic is an after thought.

Your opinion?

I watch it for the awesome plot twists. I agree with you about realism, but JJ Abrams is a genius in that he can twist things out of whack, then still seemingly have it all planned out... 10 episodes later.

I, for one, thought the show "ended" when I thought he "sold out" the entire CIA/SD-6 plot for the highly-watched SuperBowl episode. 3 episodes later, it's just beginning again and it's just as good.

I'd say about 80% of his episodes leave you with a "damn, I seriously didn't see that coming" remark. What show (not even 24) can you say that about ?

That's not too hard to believe. You've managed to fool yourself into thinking you have a point.

I don't think either of those are on tv weekly, so I'll take my dose of Alias please. I don't see why you hate it because of that.

I don't know. I think he killed the plotlines TOO quickly. He could have stretched out Sd-6 plot for another season. then take down SD-6, and Sloan gets away. The Sloan discovers all the other Rimbaldi manuals/artifacts. and this is the new plot line. but to say Sloan has been after Rimbaldi for over a decade, and picks now to make everyone aware of his secret. WHY NOW? why couldnt he have picked up the rest of the Rimbaldi stuff in secret?

oh, and whats with the plotline of the ultimate goal of the Mom to steal the Rimbaldi manual from the Chinese embassy? so she turns herself in, goes thru this complicated manuvers just to steal the manual for him?? Sloan could have gotten in there himself.

And what's wrong with that? The ultimate would be adding Jedi's and Matrix style special effects. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, her in one of those tight Lara Craft outfits :)

You just seemed to be a bit irritated that the show was getting a little too unreal. I was just pointing out that the mixture of two genres of action will inevitably lead to completely unreal situations. So maybe I don't HATE the show, not like I HATE watching those British Comedy spoofs that my wife seems to enjoy, but I don't like the show because it is continuously asking the viewer to believe in high tech devices, impossible missions, and treasure hunts for arcane artifacts. On top of all that there is very little humor in the show and all the characters are incredibly highstrung, conflicted and one-dimensional.

:p did i say i hate the show? lol

I watch Alias. It's a good show. Then it's Anna Nicole. You want to talk about an off-the-wall show.

ALIA has nothing on "The Shield" or "24" for suspense. All it has is Garner--that's it!

I don't agree with this at all. And maybe it's because you haven't watched the show much at all... did anyone else laugh hysterically when Jack said to the director "no thanks" so subtly and then quickly went on with his next thought after the director told him he could have his job ? Just something about his delivery that makes him one of the best actors on the show. Lena Olin is just as good in her own reserved way. BTW, Marshall the techie is hilarious.
