I'm thinking of buying a new mobo for a Duron now
and maybe faster CPUs in the future, which should
I get? I have PC133 mem now.

Is the KT133A (new) more stable and compatible than
the ALi Magic 1 chipset, anyone that has a clue?

DDR SDRAM looks like it's going to be fairly expensive (not quite as bad as Rambus when it came out, but quite a bit more than SDRAM anyways) and the KT133A gives 90-95% of the performance. I'd go with it, especially if you have PC133 RAM already.

I found MSi's K7T Pro2 (or 2A the A means ATA100 instead of 66) to be the best SocketA board around so I'm looking to the MSi K7T Turbo I think it's called...their KT133A.

Edit: actually the KT133A gives 90-95% of the performance of the AMD760 which is faster than the ALi Magik-1...I'd definately go with the KT133A over the ALi one...

While I agree going with KT133A is your best bet, check out the EPoX 8KTA3 which Tweak Town recently said was the best SDRAM solution available (it's the only KT133A mobo with 4 DIMM slots)!

While I agree that the KT133A mobos are great, Ananand used a very immature AMD reference mobo to test the 760 chipset. DR TOM has found much better performance so the 95% number is somewhat in question.

Wouldn't bother me, the KT133A mobos are Ocing like crazy (BIRDS and Durons hitting 150fsb) so unless you have applications with high memory bandwidth, (which actually suite the P4 much better), 133A mobos are the best bet.
