how do you graph y=x? & y= -x?

since y = x, any value of x you choose will be the value of y.

so u just plot
(0,0)
(1,1)
(2,2)
(3,3) etc etc

for y=-x, each x value you choose will be negated for y, so u plot
(0,0)
(1,-1)
(2,-2)
(3,-3)etc etc
