Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Stateside Debut

This is a gorgeous car, but at nearly twice the price of the Maserati GranTurismo (also lovely IMO) it had better be. If they found a way to price this thing like a Jag XK8, they could probably sell some, but $200K is a lot of coin for what has not traditionally been considered a prestigious marque.

Beautiful car, though the rear end still seems a bit awkward to me. Over $200k though, ouch.

Looks real nice, but too expensive for an Alfa, IMO. I mean this is getting into Ferrari territory, and there are a lot of good looking competition there. I really think Alfa would have made a much bigger splash if they made it more in the $100-$150K range. At $200K, it's going to be a low volume niche product with limited impact on the marketplace.
Also, what's the deal with the luggage? Why not make the trunk half way decent, at least like 350Z or something.

😕

I mean I understand they need a tower brace there. But why block off the rest of the truck and make those cavities for the custom luggage. Just leave the tower brace exposed like the 350Z.

Although I'm not a big fan of the Edsel nose that Alfa puts on everything (including the Subarus...). It has great porportions.
