Well, FWIW I'm sad Layne Staley died. Sure he was a junkie and died as a result of it, but it's still sad because his music spoke to me. Maybe Aaliyah's music spoke to someone and they're bummed she's dead for no good reason. It's all subjective, so there's no point in debating it of belittling those who say "I miss <person X>".
