If you installed Alexa, then Amazon owes you $2000 for invasion of privacy. This is not a suit-in-progress, but a judgment; Amazon/Alexa already lost the class action lawsuit. You can claim your $2000 here: Linky

Found the above in the LangaList Std Edition. Stuff there is usually pretty reliable

According to the court documents, the settlement is $40 or $1.9 million divided amongst everyone who applies, whichever is less. Not $2000.

Nice try, this is what happens when you get a layman trying to read a legal judgement. NOWHERE does it say that a $2000 per class member will be paid. The $2000.00 is paid to each representative of the class (ie those who brought the original lawsuit that was given class action status). The settlement is as follows depending on if you provided definitve proof in the form of the code in your cookie STILL in your cookies folder...

Defendants will administer a claim process whereby defendants will investigate whether, for each person who submits a timely claim, Alexa obtained through that person's use of Alexa's Web Browsing Software information about such Class Member that matches information provided in that person's claim, and pay each Class Member from whom such information was collected the lesser of $40.00 or their pro rata share of $1.9 million, and delete certain matched data upon request;

Last time I checked $40 <> $2000:disgust:
