The Drudge Report’s recent traffic ranking, according to Alexa.com.

According to data for July through September, almost every major website – from WND to the Drudge Report and Breitbart – saw its rankings drop on Alexa.com while pro-government sites mostly went up.

Familiar names in alternative media like the Drudge Report, Breitbart, Infowars, the Blaze, Newsmax, WND, FoxNews.com, and the Daily Caller all saw their rankings plummet while sites such as NPR.org, the Daily Kos, Democracy Now!, Media Matters and ThinkProgress all rose in the rankings.

The staff at Austin, Texas-based Infowars was equally perplexed by the numbers.

“As a certified member of Alexa, we find these trends troubling because in their very own subscription data on their site, we have had significant growth for the period indicated,” said Infowars reporters in an emailed statement.

Infowars is also seeing increases in another indicator, its largest YouTube channel.

“Our analytics indicate 305,000 views on 8-1-14 trending upward to 456,000 views on 10/11/14. This is views per day and represents a 50 percent rise in views during that period,” the staff said via email.

In this case a lower number is considered better... They are overall rankings where its possible to both gain membership and drop in rank.

My guess is with all the EBOLA!!! and ISIS!!! the right-wing nutters are content with what's being shown in the MSM and don't have to run off to the make-believe of right-wing media.
 
WND banned me from making comments because even though I love their news articles it seems they are also hell bent on false new events themselves and I commented(OUTED) them on that with a URL to back up my claims and then it was then they banned me.

So I will just create a new account. It was my postings which made a lot of people question the support of evangelicals of Israel when I commented on the fact that a small portion of evangelicals were END TIME CULTS and then ISrael made a public statement that no end time evangelical cult is supporting israel.

I spat out my food when I knew that came from me and I knew at that point they know it is 100% true!

alexa provides a 'ranking', so if website one has visitor #s increase from 1000 to 2000 but website two has visitor #s increase from 5000 to 6500 the ranking of website 1 can still increase (where 1 is the most popular, so an increase in rank is a decrease in popularity, hence the inverted y axis) despite the higher number of hits

makes sense if everyone is looking at mainstream news for ebola, isis, etc, more than normal, even though the "alternate" sites are also getting a lot of hits
