Alcoholic drink suggestions?

I need a day-time drink suggestion for a friend turning 21. Not having much experience with alcohol, I need some help picking a drink that can be shared for two, at home most likely. I don't think my friend is too crazy about the taste of beer and I'm not looking for anything too strong. Just something that tastes good and doesn't have the wimpy reputation of wine coolers:p.

Thanks guys!

Oh, and I don't really have time to mix drinks. I just need something that I can bring over, be ready-to-drink out of the bottle, and can be purhcased from Albertson's or somewhere.

Thanks again.

I like Cape Cods - vodka + cranberry juice.

Also, white russians and Long Island Iced Teas. LIITs are the best. mmmmmmm, long island.

What?!:p(No where in my post did I suggest that I'm trying to get anyone loose. I'm just looking something to toast with, for my F-R-I-E-N-D 's birthday. Nothing more.

Have you considered something like mike's hard lemonade, they come in different flavors, aren't strong, and you don't have to mix anything. My wife's not much of a drinker and she likes them.

Oh, and plus I don't really want to mix drinks. It's just a drop by, quick drink kind-of-thing.

Thanks for the suggestions keep em coming! I tried most of those drinks suggested already. Maybe I'm not that inexperienced after all :\.

Hunch punch & cherry bombs....I remember going to my 21st birthday party everything after that was blurry. I was told I had a great time...although waking up in a place you aren't familiar with is odd.

Mike's is typically just as strong as beer.

Hi moocow! Can you help me out to what kind of drinks are those?

My guess is..

Jello shots <--- chilled jello plus vodka?
Screwdrivers <---- Citrus drink + alcohol. I've had that one.
Hairy Buffalo <---- No clue
Prairie fire <--- Is that like a blow job?

A Wyder's Cider? You sound like you don't want to mix anything, don't want beer, but want alcohol. Despite your earlier post, this screams something like Cider, Mike's Hard Lemonade, Smirnoff Ice (etc.), Zima, Jack Daniels Punch-Type drinks, etc.

And then there are shots of stuff. No mixing required, really quick.

I've had one. They're okay. Maybe if I can't decide on anything else, I'll go with that. Thanks for the suggestion FatjJack!

Ah, that's a nice list. I didn't know Jack Daniels came in punch flavor.
What do you recommend out of those 5 drinks?

If you're not up to mixing much, just go for any highballer, straight one and one of something...OJ and Vodka, 7 & 7, rum and coke, gin and tonic...and if you don't want to be strong at all, just do straight up Baileys on the rocks, or black/white russian, depending on what you have on hand.

enjoy.

Screwdriver is Vodka and OJ.
Hairy buffalo - there are about 15 different variations (do a search on google)
Prairie fire is a shot a tequila with a sprinkle of tabasco sauce.

Do they sell that in ready-to-drink bottle form?
