Alcohol test

During a physcial I'm going to be drug tested so I had to quit everything. Now what I'm worried about is these people also don't want me to be a heavy drinker, but because I had to quit drugs I picked up drinking.

Now what I am curious about is, is there a test that they can tell you drink a lot? Like a urine test? I know they can find out if you smoke cigarettes and marijuana, just wondering if alcohol leaves residual crap that can be detected for an extended period of time.

If there is such a test, can they determine how MUCH you drink? Or only that you drink?

I'm pretty sure it's completely out of your system in 24 to (max) 48 hours if you really go crazy. Maybe they could tell if your liver was shot if certain enzymes or proteins showed up or didn't show up but hopefully you aren't that far along.

Also, I don't think a company could discriminate against a person for having alcohol in their system. It is legal, after all.

OK perhaps the fact you are concerned about your drinking habits whould be the first sing that the possiblity of this employer finding out is more than like the least of your problems

There are a lot of telltale signs that you're a heavy drinker, though I can't think of any that would show up in a drug screening other than dehydration. Drink a lot of water every day for a few days before the test and you should be ok. 😛

I'm underage and it is understandable that this job requires a sober person

Unless you're an extremely heavy drinker (to the point where organs aren't functioning as they should), there's no way to tell from a drug test that you drink unless you have alcohol in your system right then.

Well if your pee cup looks like a tall, cool glass of guiness they may suspect something

I'm afraid it might...

Just say, "Sorry I poured it wrong and it got a lot of head on it." bahahaha
