alcohol flask

I recently bought a flask, and in the instructions, it said that i should only carry alcohol in it continuously for 3 days max. why is this? will the alcohol react withthe steel? will it oxidize producing toxins? I tried google-ing and couldn't find much info.

thanks!

probably made out of some cheapsh|t metal, and the trace lead will leech into the liquor and posion you. buy a better flask

hm, i found quite a few sites that have that same thing listed. i am not sure if it is entirely a function of the quality of the flask. thansk for the suggestion though. do you own a flask? and if so, did it give you a recommended max amount of time to keep your alcohol in it?

the metal may just give the alcohol a bad taste after 3 days

If you have anything edible touching most metals for any prolonged time it's going to taste like ass pretty soon. If it had lead in it they couldn't sell it.
