I have the demo, but it doesnt back-up everything. they have a list of diff types of settings(game protection list)http://www.makeabackup.com/modules.php?name=Game_Protections_List&op=all , for different types of games,
buy I dont see those exact settings on the demo(yes, its up to date) . I wouldnt mind paying for the full retail version as long I knew for sure that it would actually work.

So my question is, does the full retail version actually back up the games that the demo can't?

does anyone have the full retail version in here?

Another vote for daemon tools. Working great for me. No more shuffling through my cd box..

Daemon tools does a subset of what alcohol 120% does. It allows you to mount images of protected cds and use them as if the cd was in the cdrom drive. This is what I suppose the original poster wanted to do. Alcohol 120% adds the function to burn these copy protected images to create a perfect replica of your original cd so you can let your friends borrow your games without worrying about them wrecking your original cd.

i paid for alcohol 52%, because i wanted to make ISOs of my discs (aka i'm not warezing and need more than just daemon tools). it's been good so far, altho there was a hitch with making an image of CoD because of the new safe disc ver 3 i think. it's been easier to use than some of the free things out there, and had no issues making images of all my old games. also (and this doesn't apply to probably 99% of users) i believe DT is limited to 4 virtual drives, where alcohol is more like 99. once again, unless you're playing a ton of games and don't want to mount/unmount iso's then that probably isn't an issue.

oh yeah, the difference between 120 and 52 is that 120 burns copies of cds. with 52 you can make images and mount images, but you can't do disc to disc copying (making backups) and you can't make cd-rs of existing iso's using alcohol.
