Alcohol 120% upgrade = WinXP product activation?

Anyone have a clue why I had to reactivate my copy of WinXP Pro after upgrading versions of Alcohol 120%? There haven't been any changes to my hardware in several months, so I know that this had to be what triggered it.
 
Does Alcohol automatically create a virtual drive? Your system might see that as a hardware change. Just a thought.
