In the forum's FAQ it says:

As a member, you can create Albums of images that are linked to your public profile. Albums can be created by visiting the User Control Panel, and clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'.

However when I go into my user control panel, the 'Add Album' link is not there. Has this feature been disabled?

Please assist.

That feature is not enabled here. I don't know for sure why, but a couple of things come to mind. Storage issues and the lack of willingness to check pics for suitability.

Allisolm, thank you for the fast reply.

That makes sense. On one of the forums I would like to show a recent build. There are 20 pictures of about 175K each. I have a short sentence or two about each picture. In my posting I linked to a Flickr photostream, but in a month or so, I'll take that down.
  1. How do folks on this forum show pictures?
  2. Is there a way to store these photos on the anandtech itself?
  3. Do people use the "insert image" feature of the message toolbar for this?
  4. Is it ok to submit a thread with 20 x 175K pictures?
Trying to be a good forum citizen.

1. You will have to store the pictures off site and link to them using the image tags.
2. No
3. Yes.
4. I would suggest resizing the pictures and if needed linking to the full size pics off site.
