Albatron vs. MSI

I need a board for a small file server. I've locked on the KM400A/8237 chipset for integrated video, LAN and SATA. There're two boards I could find that sport this chipset, one from Albatron and the other from MSI. They're priced $3 apart, with the Albatron being less expensive.

I'm trying to decide between the two boards. I don't see any difference in feature set and I certainly am not expecting any difference in performance, so I guess it's pretty much all up to the brand.

Any reason to go with Albatron? I'm not familiar with this brand at all, although at the same time I also have not heard any bad things about them. MSI on the other hand is a much bigger brand but at the same time you can find ppl cursing at them with little effort.

So... which one should I go with? Any suggestions? Success/horror stories?

All inputs are welcome!

Go with the Albatron. I currently use one of their NF2 boards (KX18D PROII) and it is awesome. I have no complaints about them. They are high quality and tech support is very decent. MSI on the other hand...I had an MSI K7N2 Delta-L and the damn thing blew out 2 sticks of 2100 RAM :( Screw MSI. I'll never be buying another one of their products.

Thanks for the reply, but I've changed my mind :D

I'll now be going with a Celeron D and an Intel 865G board instead.

You should stick with AMD and use the DFI KM400 Rev.B instead of the Albatron or the MSI.

I'm going with Intel this time because Celeron D's performace is competitive and there are full-size ATX 865G boards w/ GbE via CSA.
