I'm looking for a replacement for my gf4mx440....in the 150 dollar range i see my best option as a ti4200p albatron gf4. couple questions:
1) does anyone have any experience with albatron? i've never heard of 'em except for a couple shady mobos quite a while back
2) any idea on when the 9500 or NV30 is gonna hit shelves and/or what that might due to prices in the next month or two?
3) lastly, i found this card at essential computers (based in NY), anyone have any experience with this reseller? they rate well on resellerratings.com, but i'm looking for a direct recommendation

1) No.
2) The 9500 will hit retail stores next week and NV30'll be out for Mithramas ("Christ"mas) time.
3) If they got good ratings then deal with 'em.

:D I've heard quite a lot of good things about Albatron, they used to operate under a diff name IIRC and are a well established big company. I'd def buy it if I were you, unless you want to hang on for $400 NV30 or see what the Rad9500 turns out to be in terms of perf and price.

;) Rad9500 and NV30 should be hitting the shelves within the next 2 months, but there are no guarantees or definitive specs.

ive been using this brand new Albatron GF4 4600 128mb for almost a month now and it rocks. Im very happy with this card and the performance and the price! $220 shipped. Of course this wasnt in your 150 price rance but i dont think the 4200 version of this card wil be of any less quality then my 4600. Id say its a great buy!

Last week I put my Albatron ti4200p in my system and notice a big difference from the old G2 Pro@245/475. I have it oc'ed to 290/550 on the first try. I'll go higher, but right now I'm enjoying the performance...quality. You can get this card for $141 shipped. I went through newegg because I like the support and reliablity.

The 9500's are coming out soon (next couple of weeks it should be on the shelf...rumor). I don't think your going to be able to get one for $150 or less. If you can afford the extra money look at the ti4600 or reviews on the 9500 (remember this is dx9 + other goodies).
