bout 3 weeks ago i decided to RMA my Vid card after the Heatsink fan died, and heat hurt my GPU (before i noticed) so i sent in my RMA request, after 3 days i heard nothing, so i decided to call, it took 2 days of constant calling, RMA guy was apperently at luch for most of the day, then two hours on the phone for them to find my sent invoice, they promise to send me a reasponce to my RMA later that day. ofcourse 2 days later not later that day they approve my request. so the next morning i pack and ship over 2 day UPS air (this being a wed) and it gets there friday. i wait till thursday, send an email (they dont send a single email about getting it) today i get ****ed beyond belief and call. i start by calling the RMA and they say they didnt get it, so now im freaking out. i call UPS and they assure me that it got there and someone signed it. Im just about at my wits end, this is 10 minutes after getting off the phone with the RMA guy, he doesnt answer the phone (wouldnt be suprised if he was ignoring me), so i call and just get a tech support guy force them to get me the RMA guy. he checks again, package isn't there, then i tell him someone signed for it, read him the name that it was signed, he checks again and magically it shows up. ontop of this i ask if they are going to repair or replace the board, and when i can expect it and he replys ofcourse, and hangs up.

basically, dont buy from Albatron, its not worth the grey hair and phone bills

Noted! I'll shy away from that company. Maybe this is why we don't see reviews of their products very often?

The same thing can be said about Gainward, I have been trying to contact them for 3 months , finally got an email from a dutch or swedish guy and some guy in europe a month ago but nothing has been done to date.

This among other things is why those "value" boards arent much of a value

Heres looking at you ECS,BIOSTAR, PCCHIPS, Chaintech etc etc

One of the first PCs I built had a Biostar mobo in it and I had a problem with the mouse drifting. Slowly at first, then faster and faster until it locked up. I emailed them and got a reply in about 24 hours with readable info telling me to go to the Taiwan site and download a new 5 in 1 driver and problem solved.

A friend had a Chaintech mobo in his PC and it was a nightmare. Email after email, no response, finally, I guess his flood of 12 at a time times about 100 sends got the annoyed enough to respond. The response was a nonsense suggestion, and they ignored his other messages for some time, then was called by someone who actually helped him out and let him RMA the board. By that time, he had bought a new Asus board locally and didn't even need it anymore. He sent it back, and a long time later, after weeks had passed, a brand new mobo showed up, and I bought it and it's working fine in a friend's kid's PC.

I have had great luck with Gainward, but trying to contact someone who knows anything is joke..

I can say that MSI has good customer support. I had to RMA my K8N Neo Plat. becuase it died. After I applied for an RMA number I got it in 5 minutes. Shipped the motherboard off, they emailed me when they recieved it, then sent me a new one. It was good.

Even good companys have problems. I've been trying to get a part for my p160 for a couple months now, Antec always answers my emails promptly, always tells me that I can buy the part at their website. When I tell them the part is not for sale on their website they tell me to check back in a couple weeks. The circle jerk gets old fast.
