Hi, I'm a noob to the realm of OC and want to make sure I do it right. I bought this board because it had good reviews from AnandTech for OC'ing. SO, I got the board along with P4 2.4GHz, 512 Corsair XMS DDR400 Ram.
What I want to know is what are the settings in the BIOS for the RAM to post as DDR400 not DDR333 as it does now.
From what I understand the proccessor is 18 x 133MHz = 2394MHz. So, how do I make it go faster? Increase the FSB to something like 150, to get 18 x 150MHz=2700MHz? And do I need to adjust voltages? Sorry if these questions are too noobish for everyone, just want to learn the right way. :)

IDE problem:

Here is how I have it hooked up.

Prim Master 40GB WD HD
Prim Slave 100MB ZIP
Sec Master DVD ROM
Sec Slave LiteOn CDRW

I got this board yesterday and so far I am not impressed. The Pirmary IDE will not detect a slave device (100MB ZIP) and the Secondary IDE will not detect a master device (DVD ROM). I have tried several different cables and I know the devices work because they work in my old machine. The IDE's are ENABLED and set for AUTO in the BIOS. Any suggestions or similar experiences with this board?

Thanks for the help

at 150fsb set the ram ratio to 3:4 and that will give you 400mhz ddr...

As for IDE I am having no issues with all channels filled master and slave...

I can contest that the newer HDD's and the WD have several jumpers and please rereview them....They have master with no devices on chain...master with a device on the chain....cable select...and a few more....

As for the secondary master the ide channel is obviously working since it detects the slave properly...make sure jumpers are set right on both devices on that channel....make sure cable end is placed to the master device and the middle connector is to the slave....

I think that is a bad attitude to have and especially if you expect to get help from owners of the board like me....To early to bash anything when 90% of all technical problems are still the users fault...this is pretty much a fact...
