Yeah, but for $7 more you can get an actual Ti4400 or for $34 more than that you can get an actual Ti4600. It is cool that that card can overclock to Ti4600 speeds (at least according to the sample in the one review it links) but you aren't guaranteed it will hit 4600 speeds, and if you only hit Ti4400 speeds it isn't worth it. Now if the Turbo was around $150 then it would be a FLAMING HOT deal. Hopefully it will be soon! Now if you get the turbo and it DOES hit near or at the speeds in the review then I would say it is definitely a HOT deal. :D

Would've bought this in a second if only it had support for 8x agp since I have 8x agp main board and I might as well take advantage of it. All these manufacturers are sure taking their sweet time to make som 8x agp GF4s. Hell, even MSI's 4200 8x board is nowhere to be found, even though it's on their web site. The only thing you can find right now are those sh!tty mx440 8x boards.

Personally I'd go with the Gainward, but that's just because I know that Gainward makes good cards, while I've never used an Albatron card.

i would just like to say that i am in the process of RMA'ing my gainward card for this albatron... i had bad ram on my gainward and it gave me pink screens of death that totally froze my computer... many others have had the same problem too

The 64mb version of the gainward ti4200 is known to have issues....most of different ti4x00 cards are pretty much equal to each other in terms of performance. There are some that might perform slightly better than one or the other...but not significant.

I have the albatron turbo and it is great. Got it to 320/ 720 stable, now that is better than ti4600 overclocking! I think they handpick their
chips so it overclocks good, which makes the overclocking better than the ti4400. Looking at the newegg user reviews, most users got 315 out of the core and 710 out of the memory.

Then that would definitely make this card a HOT deal Xtasy! I myself have a VisionTek Xtasy (same name as you!) 128MB Ti4200 and am not entirely impressed with its overclocking ability.

What is the big deal, you can get an extra 5 mhz out of the clock.

I think all the hype around overclocking has gotten to people.

Weird thing about the googlegear picture is that the card doesn't have the ramsinks on it like they should, may just be a picture typo. Anyway, this is most likely the fastest Ti4200 card out, mine tops out about 305/690. I got mine from newegg which has it for about $7 more than googlegear shipped.

newegg doesn't allow negative reviews on their site... unless something's changed recently

The deal is that it overclocks just as good as ti4600 or evn better than lower brand name ti4600s', at a $40 to $70 lower price.

Looks like the picture on googlegear is actually from Albatron's site, but every site that reviewed the card had pictures of it with the heat sinks. I guess Albatron took the picture before they decided to put heat sinks on it; from what I've read they're mostly for show. I ordered the card from googlegear so I'll let you know if it has them and also, just how high I can o/c this card.

Actually, the card comes w/ a core clock speed of 253MHz & can be o/c above 300MHz.

8x AGP is worthless. Performance gain is so slim there's no point in worrying about it. it's like saying an ATA 133 Drive is faster then an ATA 100...

Exactly what i was thinking... no dont get the 9500 pro. Tests have shown it not as fast as ti4600, you might as well get this card and oc it man
