Just build a system usign the Albatron 845PEV Pro Motherboard.

Got everything up and installed. All drivers and such.

Just noticed I am not getting any sound.
Checked all the normal things, sound is pulled in, speakers have power. Blah Blah Blah.

Windows 2000 system. Not trying the surround sound, just normal 2 speaker sound.
System shows no driver problems or conflicts. Just doesn't play sound.

Any thoughts, help, or ideas?

Are you overclocking? If you are then try setting the fsb back to default. hope that helps :)

Does anyone know if the 845 PEV Pro audio is outputted in analog or digital, that could be the problem.

What does it look like in the Windows Hardware Profile? Does it say everything is fine or do you have exclamation points or question marks?

Also, make sure your speakers are plugged into the right plugs. Not trying to insinuate you don't know what you are doing, I just want to make sure all the bases are covered because I am not sure what "blah blah blah" means. Make sure you have the connectors set up correctly. I used my onboard audio once, and I had to change the back panel configuration since the rear speakers use the same port as the mic & line in ports.

The Realtec sound chip does support digital sound, but most motherboard manufacturers don't bundle the connetor for it with the motherboard.

Thats what it was. Took me a bit to realize it.
I was trying to plug the analog into speakers that only supported digital.
Ya and my mother board doesn't come with the connector bundled.

It was much easier to notice when I plugged old speakers in and they worked.
