The Siemens phones look nice in theory but in practice are REALLY GODDAMN ANNOYING to use because they're so small. Don't even think about cradling them against your neck if you are the type to do that. Just a hint.

the v60 can die! I have that phone (my mom actually got paid $75 to get one because Best Buy screwed the rebates up and it still went through) and teh antenna has broke 3 times on me. I have opened the phone up and replaced the bushing every single time.

Screen died on it...I called in to have it replaced since I carry the insurance on it. Something that I have used quite a bit by the way.... Anyway when I called they said I could replace it with a new phone if I wanted for free and upgrade my service to their "nextgen" plans. Additional features....more minutes...and somehow it's $10 cheaper than what I currenlty pay.

Ok...apparently I can also get a Motorola MPx200 phone if I want. Anyone have experience with one of those?

Try howardforums.com or something. They have good input on stuff. A bit over my head when they start talking tech details and stuff thogh.

Personally I wouldn't get another motorola cell phone. I had a C332, and the damn battery would last about 15 on a full charge, plus the damn charger connector is about the worst design. I don't know if it is like it on all phones but the ones I have seen, it has been. I'm sticking with nokia or samsung. Right now I got the Nokia 3560 which is the same as the 3595 except it's not a GSM phone.

Don't do it! Don't upgrade to GSM ("Nextgen"), stay on your TDMA plan and just get a new phone. I recently switched from AT&T GSM to Verizon because I was fed up with the horrible GSM coverage. The TDMA is still good from what I hear. But, keep in mind, YMMV, because it could be OK in your area. It was horrible in mine though.

I've talked to a couple of people I work with who use AT&T's GSM service...they are both happy with it. Guess we are lucky in this are. The thing that keeps cracking me up is when I called the guy who is our company rep for AT&T and asked him about changing my service to a GSM plan. He wouldn't call it that...keeps calling it "nextgen" and it makes me want to laugh. Just one more thing I hate about salespeople....all the damn marketing BS words they use....just call it what it is.

Still not sure what direction I'm going to go.....company pays for my phone so I'm not really out an $ either way.
