Hey guys, I need an Alarm security system for my detached garage which has one side window, main pull up door and a side door so 3 entrances. The detached garage is located about 30' from the house so I would need a base in the house to disarm or reset the alarm if it ever goes on. Problem is, I am being told that since the house has aluminum siding this will prevent any wireless base from communicating with the alarm units?
If the above is correct then I am wondering if there is a system like the internet setup I have in the garage using a powerline adapter since there was an electrical line run underground before they had concreted the yard. I now cannot dig up the concrete to run hardwire underground. Also, I don't need a monitoring service since I am always at home 24/7, I just need an alarm to sound if anyone should attempt to break in. Any help will be appreciated, thanks.
