I love this interview with Alan Simpson. How he talks about how people talking about balancing the budget with cuts but will not talk specifics about dealing with the big 4, MediCare, MediCaid, Social Security and Defense. How no one wants to talk about sacrifice anymore. Everyone wants to talk about cutting earmarks and discretionary spending but no one wants to talk about cutting the big 4.
I guess we will see what happens. Hopefully eventually some people will start standing up for what is right and have some serious discussion before the US debt starts to get downgraded.
