Feel better now? Lots of good has been done in the name of various religion. I even like those red words in the Bible where Jesus talked about loving one another. But too many folks use religion to validate their judgement and discrimination towards others.

Keep your beliefs to yourself or within your church and I'm okay. Use them to discriminate against gays on public TV and we have a problem.

Yea, this is common rhetoric rooted in us vs them ideologies. Since Christian's are the majority of religious in this country, it's pretty obvious to honest people why they would be the target of non religious people fighting for their own freedom from religion here. So it's us vs them, cuz that's what they know.

Just because someone is from somewhere that stones gays to death doesn't mean that they themselves are against gay people. Did you ever stop to think that they may be fleeing their home country because they are gay and they don't want to be stoned to death just because they're gay?

Funny thing here is that I am a white Christian American. I'm just not a radical conservative white Christian American who believes in using government to force my religious beliefs on others.
