lol I actually did as well. Figured after Sony's embarrassing emails re: Obama that Hollywood would go out of their way to be black-friendly.

There is a difference between what Al Sharpton attaches himself to, and what Bill O'Reilly does.

Granted I'm not familiar with the absolute cause & effects going on, just answer how many BS lawsuits has O'Reilly forced through the court systems, versus Sharpton causing damage to innocent people? How many disruptive protests has O'Reilly stoked by speaking to local groups, versus Sharpton? How many businesses and organizations has O'Reilly shaken down for cash donations, versus Sharpton?

How is in not relevant? I'm not a historian on O'Reilly, I cannot recall events where he used his connections and his influence to target and go after individuals as Sharpton and the like have done.

For instance, would the Tawana Brawley or Duke Lacrosse cases have been pushed through without the backing, influence, and connections these civil rights leaders have? These cases caused significant damage to innocent people. And Sharpton helped push them through, he helped make them a national story attacking the defendants.

His shakedowns brand people nationally as racists. It's just not media attention focused on him, it's media attention focused on people he wants to tear down.

Is O'Reilly equivalent with what he does on his show? I haven't seen it, but I'm not an expert on him so I do leave that question open to people who have examples.
