"MOGADISHU, Somalia -- A suicide bomber and gunmen wearing military uniforms attacked a hotel near Somalia's presidential palace Monday, sparking a running gun battle with security forces. At least 32 people were killed, including six Somali parliamentarians."


We are being distracted in Afghanistan. Terrorist groups are flourishing in other parts of the world, such as Somolia and Yemen, because we are busy banging our head up against the wall in Afghanistan.

Yup. We got fucked by ROE's there too. We couldn't use our tanks on raids because "it would look bad". Gee, look where that got us.

The dems have only been the more "dovish" party for about 30-40 years, and then only nominally so. The dems are dovish likes the republicans are fiscally conservative.

Vietnam is more properly attributed to Kennedy and Johnson (i.e. dems).

Trying again to discredit me on the tank issue? As another poster just told you, no we were not allowed tanks in the area.


Anything else you need cleared up regarding armored vehicles in Somalia during the early 90's?
