But..but....but, there is a reply to that somewhere. I'm sure someone will think of something.

He probably has 9 million in his pocket. That is chump change to him. Now if he went and bought a 90 million dollar pad, this might be a story.

Obviously he can't be too concerned about his own predictions of California being swallowed up by water when the polar ice caps melt. I mean, he did by this house LESS THAN THREE MILES from the damn Pacific Ocean.

Idiot. He's investing in his prediction. When the oceans rise he'll have beachfront property, his $9m mansion will suddenly be worth $30m, and he can flip it for profit!

I personally don't mind him having a nice pad like that, however, it is a bit hypocritical for a lefty to have anything that expensive.

The fact that Al Gore bought a $9 million house means that global warming isn't happening.

It also means he didn't do everything within his power to profit off of it by admonishing others for doing the exact same thing, amirite?

Fear not forum trolls, Al Gore will make a bundle off his investment, long after a good part of California goes under water, his new Montecito, California home is a good 180 feet above sea level. Google it if you doubt me.

Ole Al only predicts a super high ball 10 meter rise in sea level during the next century, giving him a 145 ft margin of safety. Ole Al is as crazy as a fox. You forum trolls only wish you were half as smart. Once it becomes Ocean front property, its value will skyrocket.

Maybe. Maybe not. I don't particularly care: I don't have a portrait of Al Gore hanging over the fireplace.

Personally I don't care if he's a lefty. I care if he's blowing the energy required to water its lawns, keep it lit, air conditioned, etc. Not to mention the effort involved in building it anyway. That's where the lunacy lies. Whether he bought carbon credits after or not doesn't change the fact there is vast energy (and it's effects by his standard) on the environment. Buying carbon credits is really no different than me killing somebody and then in turn giving enough food to some starving African kid so that he doesn't die. CCs really are about that stupid.

I think the moral of the story is that it doesn't really matter either way. I think most of us just find it ironic that he made a lot of money off of telling people they shouldn't do that. And with how many liberals would Lewinsky him in a heartbeat (and still would), it says volumes.

"Do as I say, not as I do!"
