What will be fun is blaming all the country's problems on the next president!

That's the part I am looking forward to... it will be very amusing to see the tone of the political threads during the next 4 years...

Yup, better than TV.

Shux I'm running a write in campaign based on the concept that I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing, but promise I will do my best.

I'm looking for a running mate, you interested?

Some of my basic thoughts:

When the weather sucks on the weekend or your days off and turns nice the day you go back to work, you get an extra day off to compensate.

Mondays - Mondays suck for everyone so we'll replace it with another Friday since everyone seems to like Fridays.

I think everyone should be entitled to high speed 'net access. Hey the technology is there lets use it.

Education - This is the key to the worlds future. We'll cut the government fat and use the additional funds for improved schools, teacher salaries and training and drug education. Let's face it an educated person will be less likely to be involved with drugs IMHO.

This is just a start but we gotta start somewhere.

Want a decent candidate? Go to the link in my signature. (btw, if someone could tell me how to linkify I would appreciate it)

I agree with you Shux.

They both suck bad!

Bush is a bumbling, deceiving corporate puppet. And Gore is so wishy washy, that I literally turn the channel whenever he begins to speak.

At least Nader and Browne both stick to their guns....as much as I would hate to see either of them win.

Damn straight. ;)

We will get decent candidates when the American people achieve some minor degree of political awareness (in other words, never).

Only a minority of people vote, and only an even smaller minority (I think) participate in primaries, and only an even smaller minority actually know anything about what they are voting for.

It is also apperant that the more educated tend to be less racist, which would be nice. IMO Drugs and Crime go hand and hand, I would bet that nearly all criminals in jail are there because they used drugs or alcohol, thats is excluding the people that have been jailed because of the "war on drugs". I want to run for congress in two years although some of my ideas are way to radical. :D

ICyourNipple,
I am already voting for Harry Browne. :)

Here's your link - except replace the "link" with "l".

[Link=Vote Libertarian]http://www.issues2000.org/Harry_Browne.htm[/Link]

end the war on the people, stop the government theft.

McCain would have been a good choice but he scared the Republican Core too much so they made certain he lost the primary

lets see how many write-ins we can get for Jed (West Wing).

Even if I could vote I wouldn't go for Bush or Gore. I know that a third party candidate wouldn't win, but at least I wouldn't feel like I wasted a vote on Bush or Gore.
