of course this really ruins the chances of anyone else getting out of a ticket along that stretch of road. the cops will say "we ticketed the former VP, and you think I'm gonna let you off with a warning?"

heh, good point.

Yay to Gore for speeding just like a regular human being, but NOT thinking he could pull the VP card and get away with it.

Yay to the cops for not making exceptions.

Boo to Oregon for low speed limits :p

how are the speed limits low? 65 on interstates 55 on smaller highways

1. "In" does not equal "from".

I meant in Georgia, I'll make sure to be more specific next time sunshine.

2. You said I was somehow ignorant because I said I would have arrested him (even though it was a joke)
and the fact is as you said yourself you can be arrested. Laws do not vary that much by state when it comes to speeding.

If it was a joke I apologize, but you hardly posted it as such, and I wasn;t the only one in the thread to make a comment about it. As for traffic laws not varying, you are flat out wrong.

The next state over, Massachusetts has a totally different system to traffic violations.

3. If sucking dick gives you so much pleasure that your eyes roll around I really don't want to know.

That's not what you said last night sweety..

4.Yeah I'm ignorant and you the 15 year old geek is all knowing.

First off, I never claimed I was all knowing. Second, I made a comment about you being ignorant because I thought you were honestly saying that he should have been arrested for that. Also, as much as I might like to be 15 again, I'm about twice that...31. From now on, please refer to me as the "31 year old all knowing geek"....k thanks.

:)

Notice how after two posts of you calling me things like "fvcking retard", I didn't respond in kind? I guess that makes you the more mature one right?

Um you called me ignorant in your first post and also referenced that since I was from GA that would make sense. The other post on the subject brought up the possibility of it being a joke.

Also I would like to know how Massachusetts law differs when it comes to speeding.

Well, as for Mass, it's a flat fee for 1-10mph over, regardless of speed limit. Over 10mph over, they add a dollar amount each MPH over the 10mph level. I can't recall the exact amount, but I'm fairly sure it's $10 per MPH over 10mph. So, let's say you were going 20 mph over....it would be like $75 for the first 10mph over, then an additional $100 for the next 10 mph over ($10 x 10).

Edit:

Found this here.

Under Massachusetts driving law, if you are given a citation for driving above the speed limit, the minimum penalty is a $75 fine. If you are convicted of driving more than 10 miles per hour (mph) over the speed limit, you will be fined an additional $10 for each mph you were traveling above the first 10.

By law, all fines for speeding violations include a $50 surcharge (increased from $25, effective July 1, 2003). This surcharge is applied to the Head Injury Treatment Services Trust Fund.

So, in NH...20mph is $72. In Mass, it's $225 ($75 + $100 + $50). Sounds different to me...

20 over is nothing. He'll probably just send the ticket in and pay the fine.
I can't wait for the day when we get self driving cars. :/

That is simply a difference in the fee schedule and I doubt it changes the fact that you could be arrested. It is a moot point though becuase we don't arrest people for speeding or our jails would be full and if we arrested one person it would be discriminatory.

On a side note why are we arguing and who gives a fvck.
