They don't speak out. Their only goal is to scream and disturb others. They don't preach their message, they just scream. And they're Dems themselves btw.Originally posted by: Moonbeam
People who speak out against the Democrats are traitors.
A 10-digit settlement? I hope you're including 3 or 4 decimal placesOriginally posted by: heartsurgeon
well know...he's either going to jail for battery (legal definition is unwanted touching..he's admitted to taking the guy out with a wrestling move, so he's admitted to the deed), OR MORE LIKELY..he's facing a lawsuit with a 5-10 digit settlement..his admitted he "battered" the plantiff...now comes pain and suffering, emotional distress..on going medical problems..back ache..loss of consortium...yep ol' Al is going to get a little less rich courtesy of the trial lawyers of america..i guarantee you the guy who got "tackled" is being bombarded with attorney calls as we speak..offering to handle the civil lawsuit for him..bend over Al, you gonna paying for this "wrestling" move big time.but cheer up, no doubt part of the settlement funds will be donated to the DNC to help fight tort reform...isn't America great!
While I don't defend his actions it has to be understood that these people don't speak, they just scream. They don't say hey here are our thoughts, they just yell as to disturb whichever Dem happens to be speaking. There is really no speech involved. Its the equivalent of walking, breathing, noise makers.Originally posted by: nutxo
hahaha
Franken is for freedom of speech as long as it's the speech he wants to hear, and no one elses.
Nah, just annoying. Only people who disagree with Bush or his administration are traitors, remember?Originally posted by: Moonbeam

I don't disagree, just providing some info on the type of person he tackled...Originally posted by: nutxo
My mom used to say the same thing about the music I listened to but I could understand it fine. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech.
For some reason the left wing nazis in here think it's okay for this to take place but if someone did this at a Bush rally they would all cry about freedom.
I would take this stance either way. All other things aside, who the f*** does Franken think he is? I hope the guy sues the sh*t out of him.
They are all part of an axis of evil traitors.Originally posted by: DanJ

I speak the truth...first of all, the guy has a legitimate case..Franken, according to these articles has ADMITTED he did it.."it" is battery. so if the guy wants a trial, there is NO WAY to get the case dismissed. Going to trial on a civil suit will cost you AT LEAST $25,000 in legal fees..my guess is more like $30,000-40,000 for Al. His lawyer will string him along to maximize his fee for defending him, and then tell him, well, you better settle because you never know what a jury might do, and after all you admitted to attacking the guy. Well the plantiff's attorney knows all this stuff as well, and i can assure you that a $100,000 settlement would be quite realistic....if the guy starts saying he suffered headaches, or backaches, or whatever, the price of settling goes up up up....you apparently have NO IDEA what trial lawyers charge to defend someone, and the type of settlements that trial lawyers extract (i prefer to say extort) for b.s. claims, much less a legitimate claim (as in the present case).A 10-digit settlement? I hope you're including 3 or 4 decimal places
I've got a digit for you...heartsurgon apparently just doesn't understand the concept of digits

i guess ol' Al is gonna do the perp walk....i also suspect he's gonna shut up about Rush Limbaugh, now that he's got his own cross to bear..
the other point is that Al is gonna have to take time off of the case (mo money), absolutely no insurance companmy in the world is gonna cover him for assaulting someone, so every penny of the legal fees and a settlement will come out of his pocket. Don't forget "punative" judgements against him by a jury...they are typically based on the plantiff's ability to pay, and an effort to "punish" the defendant for his actions....if Al is "rich", and i'm guessing his got some cash stashed away...that all comes into play...Al's is in a deep deep pile of personal injury layer doggie do..he's gonna get creamed. No slap on the wrist, i guarantee you, because his buddies the trial lawyers smell blood in the water...
