Al Aqsa joins cease-fire, hours after shooting worker...

Just hours after a renegade group of militants killed a driver on a road crew in the West Bank, the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades reaffirmed today it supports a cease-fire with Israel.

There are foolish extremists on both sides who want nothing but to destroy the other. To allow them to disrupt the peace process is to support their actions.

And I find this a great move by Ariel Sharon:

Hard-liners in the Knesset said Israel should suspend its operations under the U.S.-backed "road map" to peace because the Palestinians had failed to stop attacks.

But Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon rejected that idea, saying that even with the greatest determination no one could stop the attacks "in just one day."

Very true. With many of the terrorist groups willing to try a cease-fire, responding to this would not be best for anyone's (including the families of the murdered victims) interests.

I think the terrorist groups should FIND and Prosecute those responsible for the murder of the Romanian... that would go a long way towards proving that they actually value human life.

That would convince me more than anything that Hamas etc. might do. Keep those who would screw things up in line if they are serious (about which I remain unconvinced).
