AIW Radeon upgrading driver and MMC?

I see that a new driver and mmc is out. What I want to know is what is the best way to upgrade all of these. I read somewhere that you should also uninstall guide plus along with the mmc. Also I see I don't have an uninstall in the control panel for the dvd player. Seems to me I had to install it seperate from mmc. Do I need to edit registry of ati entries after uninstalling all apps before installing updated software.

I have read people having problems I just want to update this thing with the least amount of headaches as possible. I figure I will wait until the updated dvd player is out so I only have to do this once. I would appreciate any tips.
