I just got my retail card today. Everything installed fine, it works great, and captures my camcorder video (its main purpose for me).

However, I can't capture sound, just video.

I am using the Input adapter, and have my video plugged into the S-Video hole, and then I have my left and right audio cords plugged in to the white an red inputs.

I have done the Volume control suggestion in the manual, but it does not work.
I have also done all the trouble shooting ideas that they give.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Anything would be greatly appreciated. Tomorrow is my B-Day, so consider this a great birthday present to me!

double click on the speaker in your task bar, that should bring up volume control, then go to options, then properties, then click recording, then ok. then make sure the volume levels for recording are set correctly. this is what i had to do with my AIW 128 video card. good luck.

Also, if you have an extra CD-Audio cable to hook from the AIW to your sound card, try
to use the CD-Audio selection as the input instead of Line-in.

JobLessOne:

I tried that earlier and no go on it. I tried it again now to make sure I did it right, and it still doesn't work.

CQuinn:

I will try your suggestion now and see if it works.

Thanks for the help,
JB
