I just captured a whole army-training video that's 2 hours in MPEG-2, IBP, 480x480, 100% motion compensated video with 0% frame loss. It's beautiful...but it's also 7GB. How the heck do I convert this over to another format? I've tried using flaskmpeg and mpeg2avi and while flaskmpeg chokes on the input, mpeg2avi is able to at least convert the video. The audio is a totally different matter. It seems that even when recording in MPEG-2 video mode, ATI decides to record the audio in MPEG-1. So you have this half-breed MPEG1/2 format that throws off all the available converters. Does anyone know how I could 1) Convert straight from the ATI MPEG2 format to divx or 2) extract the audio from the ATI MPEG2 file to something meaningful such as a wav file?
Thanks in advance.
