AIW Radeon 8500DV Firewire (1384) Usage Question

I know that the AIW Radeon 8500DV has Firewire ports on it. Reviews and ATi's website say so.

I know that it can be used for DV stuff if you have that type of camera, but will it support other Firewire devices like Apple's iPod, or Firewire burners, CF readers, etc.?

I have the same question. I have a firewire CD burner and I was wondering if anyone tried running any other device on the card.

I do not see why it would not, it is a firewire port, and the creative audigy comes with a firewire, and I am sure you can use it for any device. I do know if you want to use the ipod on the pc, you need special software. I am also going to say that if it WAS NOT intendted for use with firewire devices, it would say, and reviews would say.....
